Ministry Leadership Principle # 1

I would like to share with you some simple concepts learned over years of ministry. Hopefully, this will better equip each of us to be more effective leaders in our fields of labor.

Church work is much different than work in the secular world. Although some to the truths may apply to both areas, ministry is in a class all by itself.

Principle # 1. Compliments may be few and far between.

While each of us enjoy the praise and recognition from others, this in not the reason we do ministry. If you have been in ministry any length of time you will discover the infrequency of praise for your tireless service. To enjoy a long term ministry your validation must come from the confidence that God is using you to impact the lives of people, not from the praise of others.
