When we win, we win together

A friend of mine told the following story. While watching the Special Olympics one year, all of the runners were lined up for the 500-yard race. The runners were given the signal to begin running. They all darted toward the finished line as fast as their feet could carry them. Suddenly, one of the runners fell down. One of the other runners stopped to help his fallen friend. Soon another runner stopped to help his two buddies. Slowly, one by one they all returned back to where the first runner had fallen. Helping each other and holding each other’s hands they crossed the finished line together.

The truth of this story is simple and powerful!

  1. We all fall down some times,
  2. We need each other,
  3. The race really isn’t about who comes in first.

We are all in this thing together, aren’t we! When we win, we win together. Your success is also my success!  What you do is important!

Who needs your help today? Perhaps someone has come into your life that simply needs a friend to help him or her up from a fall.
